Gratitude Village – A Zero Energy, Multigenerational, Accessible, Cohousing Community Forming in Brighton, CO Seeking Founding Members
Gratitude Village Colorado is a Zero Energy, fully accessible, multigenerational cohousing community forming now in the Denver metro area.
We are developing 40–50 thoughtfully designed homes centered around connection, sustainability, and belonging—living with purpose, with people, and with the planet in mind. Up to half of our homes will be permanently affordable, supporting seniors, families, first-time homebuyers, and adults with disabilities.
We currently have nearly 8 acres under contract in Brighton, Colorado—just 20–30 minutes from downtown Denver, 20 minutes to Denver International Airport, and only 1.5 miles from Barr Lake State Park. The site offers convenient access to everyday essentials, with grocery stores like King Soopers and Natural Grocers less than two miles away, and Prairie Center Shopping Center just 1.5 miles away, featuring retailers like Target and The Home Depot along with smaller shops and services. There is also the potential for a small neighborhood-serving retail strip along Bromley Lane, helping create a walkable sense of place within the broader community.
Today, our community includes 11 Founding Households and 19 Exploring Households—representing 65 individuals ranging in age from 10 months to 80—already coming together to shape what this neighborhood will become.
We’re building more than homes—we’re building a high-functioning, relationship-centered community. Homes will be Zero Energy and designed to Passive House-level performance, with universal design principles integrated from the start to support accessibility, aging in place, and inclusive living for all. Shared spaces will be designed to bring daily life into connection and may include a vibrant Common House, community gardens and greenhouse, playground, guest suites, coworking space, and more. Visit our website or attend an info session to learn more about our vision.
We’ve recently engaged Studio Co+Hab as our architectural partner, and our upcoming Site Design Workshop in mid-June will bring Founding Members together to begin shaping the physical layout and shared vision of the neighborhood. We are currently seeking 5–10 additional Founding Households to help co-create the design, governance, and culture of this flagship community—our first step toward a replicable model for connected, sustainable neighborhoods.
If you’re looking for more than a home—if you’re seeking a place to truly belong, grow, and help shape the future—we would love to connect with you.
