Description

We are an intentional community where inquisitive minds and deep souls from all faith practices convene to share ideas, learn from and about each other, and practice acceptance and interdependence.

We want to live in a way where we create synergy by exercising power WITH others instead of OVER others. We believe that living in this manner will transform ourselves, our neighbors and the world for the better.

We achieve this by fostering open dialogue within a non-hierarchical leadership structure, where everyone has an equal voice and all voices contribute to the final vision, plan or solution. In our meetings, we employ a Consensus-based Agreement Building framework. This framework was originally practiced by the Quakers in the mid-17th century, so it's not something new or unproven.

Our leadership structure can be visualized as a flat circle where every member has equal power. Some members may have more responsibility than others, but that does not mean they have more power. Responsibility is a burden, not an entitlement. No one is above or below anyone else in terms of importance, power or weight of their contribution.

If you would like more information about how we deal with difficult issues or disagreements, please reach out to us.

Our Values:
Everyone Belongs, People First, Loving Kindness, Honest, Kind, and Direct Communication, Freedom to Be You.

These values are practices, not necessarily proficiencies. We commit to the practice and we agree to be held to these ideals by our neighbors.

What We Offer:

We provide a space large enough to accommodate a dwelling having a footprint up to 600 square feet. You provide the dwelling (it can be a structure, trailer, tiny house, etc) and are responsible for the cost of connecting to the community power and sewer. At present, we do not have a community water solution; community members are catching rain water and filtering it themselves.

We also provide a space for people to live and learn intentionally together, with all the beauty and messiness that life and learning in community brings. We believe that it’s the “bumping up and into each other” that allows us to uncover our true selves and discover our purposes. We do this while practicing power  WITH each other, not OVER each other. In other words, we all give something up in order to actually live together.
