Dakota Prairie Commons

Dakota Prairie Commons will be situated in Vermillion, South Dakota, home of the University of South Dakota and the National Music Museum with its world class collection of antique musical instruments. The community was recently named The Best Small Town Arts Scene in the US by USA Today and boasts an historic downtown with cafes, shops, and restaurants, a congenial brewery, many concerts from classical to rock, and several annual festivals from the South Dakota Shakespeare Festival to Ribs, Rods, and Rock n Roll. The Missouri River borders Vermillion and residents enjoy it by hiking the three trails that border the River and by kayaking its most wild and scenic areas.
