Description

We are forming BURNS VILLAGE & FARM, a multi-generational cohousing village and agrihood with 36 homes and a small farm about 30 minutes west of Nashville. The farm will be managed by a professional who will provide fresh organically and sustainable produced food in exchange for community support. We have a contract on 17+ acres of agricultural and wooded land, with landowners who are very supportive of our vision. We also have contracts with a cohousing architectural team and two cohousing development consultants (Katie McCamant and Shelly Parks). We are planning a community that reflects our shared values of respect for the land and each other, accessible homes, and diversity in our community members. Our Core Group meets weekly, and hosts site visits, virtual and in-person gatherings. We anticipate a sustainable, eco-friendly village with clustered homes, a wooded trail to a beautiful creek, and a two acre professionally run farm for vegetables, blueberries and more! We are looking forward to our Design Closure workshop with our architect Jack Wilbern. Visit our website, contact us to join our newsletter list, attend one of our virtual information sessions, and follow our story through our facebook page.
